Colleen Fanning was honored to be interviewed in the documentary film titled “The Eye is The First Circle” airing on Rocky Mountain PBS12, produced by Schler Productions, LLC. The film recognizes a diverse group of women artists of the 1940’s and 1950’s who, until recently, have been absent from the narrative of art history.

The compelling story is based in part upon author Mary Gabriel’s New York Times bestselling book, Ninth Street Women published in 2018, and the Denver Art Museum’s groundbreaking exhibition, Women of Abstract Expressionism June 12, 2016 - September 25, 2016, curated by Gwen Chanzit.
